This privacy policy explains how PastePad ("the app", "PastePad") handles your information. PastePad is a local-only text snippet manager with a custom keyboard, published by Vioscale Technologies Ltd ("we", "us", "our").

PastePad is built with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. All information you enter into PastePad remains exclusively on your device.

3. Our Core Privacy Commitment

PastePad operates entirely on your device. We have no servers that receive your content, no analytics that profile you, and no accounts that identify you. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to sell, share, or lose.

4. Information We Do Not Collect

PastePad does not collect any of the following:

• Personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
• Usage analytics, behavioural data, or app interaction tracking.
• Location data.
• Keystroke logs or the content you type in other apps.
• Crash reports or diagnostic data.
• Advertising identifiers.

5. Local Data Storage

Every snippet you create is stored exclusively on your device in a local database (SQLite). This data:

• Never leaves your device.
• Is not transmitted to us or to any third party.
• Is not backed up to any Vioscale server.
• Is removed when you delete the snippet or uninstall the app (subject to your device's standard backup settings, which are controlled by you and your operating system).

6. The Custom Keyboard

PastePad includes a custom keyboard extension so you can insert your saved snippets in other apps. This keyboard:

• Operates entirely offline and does not require network access.
• Reads only from your local snippet database in order to display your saved snippets.
• Does not monitor, record, or transmit anything you type into text fields in other apps.
• Does not log keystrokes.

7. Export Feature

PastePad lets you export your snippets to a local JSON file using your device's native sharing functionality. When you use this feature, the file is created on your device and you choose where it goes. We do not have access to exported files at any point.

8. In-App Purchases

If PastePad offers in-app purchases, these are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Any payment information is handled by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies. We never receive or have access to your payment details.

9. Third-Party Services

PastePad does not integrate advertising networks, analytics providers, or third-party trackers. The only third parties involved are the app stores that distribute the app and process any optional purchases:

10. Your Rights (UK GDPR, CCPA & Similar Laws)

Data protection laws such as the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grant you rights over your personal data — including the rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability, and the right not to have your data sold.

Because PastePad does not collect or hold any personal data about you, these rights are satisfied by design: there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, delete, port, or sell. You remain in full control of your snippets, which live only on your device.

11. Children's Privacy

PastePad does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. The app is safe to use by all ages with respect to data collection, as no information is gathered or transmitted.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. If our data practices ever change materially, we will make that clear here before the change takes effect.
